Governments are less aggressive in their attacks against drug addiction. Perhaps this is because of the miserable failure of a famous attempt. They already prohibited the sale, transport, and even manufacture. The idea was that society would benefit in many ways - not only by removing obious bad effects associated with this kind of addiction but also by reducing the incedence of other social evils such as gambling and prostitution.
But since many people simply ignored the law and still continue to be drug dependents, the main difference was that they had to resort to expensive, illegal methods of obtaining spirits. The result was that organized crime grew tremendously rich and powerful. California have been the most anti-drug city in the America and it had been continuously fighting addiction. California drug rehab or California rehab had been the least number of patient in the country because of the continuing projects and campaigns on anti-drugs. They have been implementing drug and alcohol policy that should be abide by citizens…
